Dhune

NeuroPole of excellence created by the greatest academic and research expertise within the framework of the French National Plan 2014-2019 against Neurodegenerative Diseases, DHUNE responds to a need for collective work to advance faster on these diseases within 5 years.

The program brings together:

4 Institutions: University of Aix-Marseille (AMU), Public Assistance-Marseille Hospitals (AP-HM), National Institute for Medical Research (Inserm) and National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) )

5 hospital clusters including leading specialists, national reference centers labeled for neurodegenerative diseases

34 teams and more than 120 permanent researchers in neuroscience and human and social sciences

20 industrial partners at the national and international levels

8 patient associations and care networks for neurodegenerative diseases

3 prestigious foreign universities: Imperial College (London), Technion (Haifa) and Neurodegenerative Disorders Network (India).

DHUNE is one of the 7 French centers to have been awarded the AVIESAN (National Alliance for Life Sciences and Health) label as a center of excellence within the “Centers of Excellence in Neurodegeneration” (CoEN) network in Europe and Canada.

DHUNE is also labeled FHU (Federation Hospital University) in the framework of the French National Plan 2014-2019 on neurodegenerative diseases.

The program actively participates in the calls for projects of the RHU (Research University Hospital) of the National Research Agency allowing it to be able to benefit from a financing of an amount of 5 to 10 million euros over 5 years.
